My recent paintings are inspired by the colors and textures of the water's edge. I paint with oils and often incorporate sand, small shells, or other
natural materials to make a tangible connection between a canvas and a
subject. I use a limited palette of metallics and muted colors to freeze an impression of a single moment in an ever changing scene. I particularly enjoy experimenting with the subtle yet complex colors of fog, twilight,
and pools of water.
I live in Alexandria, Virginia, and I am a member of the Art League Gallery, the Washington Project for the Arts, and the Arts Club of Washington.
